The Dementia Support Assistant provides individualized one-on-one support and engagement to residents living with dementia in Eldercare Memory Support Units.
This role will work closely with the site-based leadership team with best practice and professional support provided by Clinical Nurse Consultant – Dementia, to provide high-quality care and support to residents.
Provide individualized care and support to residents living with dementia, including assistance with emotional supportEngage residents with meaningful activities that are aligned with their background and interests, and which generate comfort, familiarity and positive emotion.Create a safe and supportive environment for residents, promoting independence, dignity and optimal wellbeingFoster a calm and reassuring environment, responding empathetically to residents' emotional needsThe following shifts are available on a permanent part-time contract; Week 1 Thursday 10:00 - 15:00
Friday 10:00 - 15:00
Tuesday 10:00 - 15:00
Week 2 Thursday 10:00 - 15:00
