This position is offered as a twelve (12) month contract/secondment opportunity. POSITION OBJECTIVE This role coordinates the procurement, implementation, support and maintenance of infrastructure and hardware. Reports on the quality, service operation and ability of vendor partners to provide the required Information Technology (IT) capabilities within the Western Australia Police Force. Makes recommendations and advises Technology Portfolio and other areas on the best solutions to meet operational support and technological requirements.

Understanding contemporary IT Infrastructure support Identifying technical issues and the challenges in a technical support area. Ensuring maximum availability and uptime of supported infrastructure and hardware. Ensuring replacements and fixes are delivered according to business priorities and impact levels. Utilising ITIL as the corporate IT governance framework.Management and planning skills Planning, designing and managing implementation of major changes to infrastructure services. Assisting with development and review of plans, budgets and contracts. Coordinating, monitoring and evaluating initiatives to achieve goals and objectives.Applicants are also required to submit a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV). Your CV should provide enough detail (dot points are sufficient) to allow the selection panel to assess your skills and experience relevant to the Key Accountabilities of the attached Position Description Form.
The CV must also include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on the applicant's ability to satisfy all of the Essential Work Related Requirements. Applicants should nominate at least one immediate (most contemporary) supervisor/manager unless exceptional circumstances exist.
Please note: For applicants deemed suitable, all Essential Work Related Requirements listed in the Position Description Form will be assessed at some stage during the selection process.
OTHER CONDITIONS Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout the metropolitan area. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the panel may select another suitable applicant from this selection process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the initial date of the appointment.
