About the positionAs the Dean of the School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Social Sciences, you will leverage your high-level strategic leadership, management, and enterprise development skills to drive the school's success across a large, multi-campus environment. Using your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will drive a culture of excellence in learning and teaching, research and innovation, and community engagement across both vocational and higher education. This influential role enables you to inspire and develop high-performing teams and foster a collaborative, innovative culture that has a meaningful impact on our students, staff, and the broader community.
In this position, you will play a critical part in advancing impactful research that shapes healthcare policy and practice both locally and globally. You will support strategic investments aimed at addressing the future workforce needs of Australia's healthcare sector, such as skills shortages. By engaging with stakeholders across academia and industry, you will address evolving healthcare challenges and ensure that our graduates are industry-ready professionals poised to make a difference in healthcare.
Position RequirementsDoctoral qualification and academic standing relevant to a professorial standard of appointment with a record of high-quality leadership, research and scholarship relevant to Nursing, Midwifery or Social Sciences.Excellence in leading, managing, and coordinating academic and research functions, including the ability to build strong, sustainable teams and manage resources within strategic objectives and budget.Successful collaboration with executives, staff, and diverse stakeholders, including external organisations, industry groups, and the community.Exceptional knowledge and understanding of university management, governance, and quality assurance frameworks and current and emerging trends on effective HE and VET distance education and online delivery.A willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.Successful assessment of a Fit and Proper Person Declaration under the Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (Cth) (RTO Standards).When submitting your application, please include:Your current CV.A Cover Letter outlining your relevant skills, experience, and suitability for the position.A video no longer than 10 minutes (included as a sharable link in your Cover Letter) responding to the following essential criteria.
