Join our team as a Dealership Accountant and oversee & manage the financial wellbeing of our business! Adelaide City Automotive Group is one of Adelaide's most respected family-owned dealership groups boasting four new car brands, a large pre-owned vehicle department and a thriving service and parts centre.
We currently have an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced Accountant or Financial Controller to join the team.
Based in our fringe CBD dealership, this full-time, permanent position is perfect for a seasoned Automotive Accountant or Accounts/Administration professional looking to take the next step in their career.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a role that offers both challenges and rewards and you'll be an integral part of driving the ongoing success of our dealership.
The role: Reporting to the Dealer Principal, your role will oversee and manage the financial wellbeing of our dealership, maintain an accurate set of accounts, monitor all costs and payments as well as plan, direct and control the activities of our Administration Department.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the production of internal and external dealership reports; the submission of statutory returns, payments of taxes, rates and other imposts.Management of monthly and yearly budget preparation and collate figures provided by department managers.Process standing journal entries, end of months accruals and other end of month's adjustments to reconcile management accounts.Plan and control Dealership cashflow to allow obligations including: daily floorplan, creditors, income tax, dividends and other commitments.Review bank balances and inventories daily.Ensure reconciliation of cash at bank account, debtors, creditors and other general ledger accounts are carried out on a monthly basis.Previous Automotive Dealership experience (desirable).Minimum 3 years in financial accounting, preferably in Automotive.Working knowledge of ERA DMS (EraLink & EraPower).The ability to work autonomously.Time management and organisation skills.Proactive, punctual and reliable.What we offer: An attractive remuneration package will be offered, commensurate with experience, including generous salary, competitive bonus structure and fully maintained company vehicle.
