JOB DESCRIPTION Permanent Any AU Location - Hybrid - Senior Associate   Our iPower team works within firm operations delivering analysis and assessment of current state and alignment to future state of Information Technology, blending technical skills and strategy to deliver an enterprise application used across over 60 territories within the PwC Network of Firms.
And our team is expanding.
We're looking for a Hosting - Application DBA to maintain the iPower infrastructure supported by the iPower Platform Support Team and to ensure the satisfactory performance of all enterprise databases within our vast community of solvers.
Use the know-how you've gained in windows servers, databases and cloud technologies.
With new problems to solve, you'll have plenty of support and opportunities to grow.
We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills and team ethos will get a workout.
You'll learn plenty as you manage assigned project priorities and to ensure a consistent approach to projects and BAU activitiesin a workplace that's human-led and tech-enabled.
Day to day, you'll solve problems like securing the integrity, availability, security and performance of the technical environment including all Database instances and associated infrastructure .
In our  iPower team, you'll also: Ensure the availability of data, whilst maintaining adequate safeguards and security in line with PwC policy and industry best practice.
Design and implement corporate databases, data models and associated administration plans.
Design and implement Cloud ready solutions with PaaS and cost reduction in mind.
Advise on acquisition and upgrade of new Database and other server software.
Determine client database needs, promoting rational development and eliminating data redundancy.
Advise Data warehousing & Business Intelligence teams with respect to projected data growth & integration with multiple components.
Implement and monitor security measures that affect the organisation's Database systems.
Provide expertise, manage and maintain the development of a disaster recovery / business continuity plan surrounding the organisation's Database Systems.
Drive automation through scripting Other Technical Qualifications Required Experience in MS SQL Server Database Administration – 2016 and upwards.
Knowledge of SQL Server High Availability including Always on and Replication.
Understanding of an organisation's database and application architecture.
Advanced skills in a major operating system and application delivery platform such as Windows Server 2016 and IIS Server.
Advanced TSQL language capabilities.
Advanced PowerShell language capabilities.
Working knowledge and proven experience of using Cloud Service technologies specifically Azure.
Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and automation including but not limited to CICD and PowerShell DSC.
Azure PowerShell.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work with teams across multiple locations as well as the ability to work on your own.
Familiarity with Project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
