The Role:Cognizant is seeking a L2 Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases hosted on cloud platforms.
In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to:Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases in a cloud environment.Design, implement, and manage cloud-based database solutions on platforms Azure (optional GCP).Set up and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of database systems.Plan and execute database upgrades and patches to maintain compliance and enhance features.Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.Work closely with development, IT, and operations teams to support application deployments and troubleshoot database-related issues.To apply for this role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:Strong experience in SQL Server & Postgress SQL.Experience in upgrades & maintenance of databases.You'll receive an excellent salary and benefits package for your knowledge, expertise, and flexibility.
