About the Role This dual role is responsible for executing data management activities within the Avant Finance business division and using data to gain insights to assist decisions within the organisation. This role focuses on maintaining data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to support the organisation's data governance objectives and developing reports/dashboards to support strategic initiatives.
Principal Responsibilities: Data security - maintain compliance and protect data assetsBring data elements under governanceData analysis and reportingData modellingResolve data issues and champion dataKey Accountabilities: 1. Data Governance Discovers/classifies sensitive data and conducts data loss prevention activitiesConducts data risks and controls self-assessments to identify gaps requiring upliftPerforms data retention activities including identification and assessment of retention rules appliedMaintains and ensures compliance to defined data governance metricsIdentifies and documents data usage and change requirementsDefines rules for data creation, data use or derivatives of dataDocuments business and technical definitionsDocuments business rules, thresholds and metricsDefines data quality rules and maintains data quality dashboard for reportingChampions policies and standards and collaborates across data governance ecosystem to improve practices2. Data Analysis and Reporting Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver customized reports.Gather, analyze, and interpret complex data sets from various sources.Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).3. Collaboration and Training Work closely with business stakeholders, IT, service providers and data teams to ensure data needs are met.Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Provide training and support to users on BI tools and best practices.Provide training and support to data users on data governance practices and tools.To be successful you will have: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or other related field (or equivalent work experience).Strong evidence of professional commitment to maintain currency of technical knowledge and skillsCertification in BI and/or data governance and/or data managementKey business process knowledge and experience in financial services industry3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis or similar roleExperience with data governance and data quality management practicesExperience with Salesforce (CRM and Marketing Automation)Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or QlikView.Mature and self-motivated professional able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.Ability to relate the goals of IT service delivery to business goals.A focus on customer satisfaction and high-quality service delivery, with strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness.Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyFor more information, please contact Nico Touze, Head of Talent Acquisition at ******
