About the role As a data scientist within the Digital, Marketing, and Memberships squad, you will work alongside the Analytics Delivery team to deliver high-quality analytics, models, and prescriptive insights to key stakeholders.
What's involved: Apply a range of AI, machine learning, statistical, and analytical methods with rigorous standards to produce high-quality and accurate outcomes.Work on a variety of analytics problems, including recommender systems, personalisation, and complex measurement.Discover new opportunities to optimise the business through application of these techniques.Develop the Data Science craft, ensuring that Bunnings develops a mature capability, builds industry/research links, and incorporates leading practices and methodologies.Present key model outputs and insights to key stakeholders across the business in 'everyday' language.Proactively identify learning opportunities and share your knowledge across the team.Who we're looking for: You are an intelligent, conscientious problem solver with strong analytical, conceptual, and collaboration skills.
You will have a good understanding of the key building blocks of data strategy, for example, an understanding of the role of the data layer and how data is collected, stored, and accessed.
You possess strong analytical and programming skills required to conduct sound data science and enjoy telling compelling stories with data.
You'll need: Proven experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role.Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or other quantitative discipline.Experience analysing large, complex datasets using various tools and techniques.Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and other data analysis tools.Experience with experimental design, predictive and prescriptive analytics.Good knowledge of productionising models into business outcomes.Highly desirable attributes include a background in econometrics or retail data science.We're here to support you.
