LPCH is looking for a dedicated Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure compliance with data protection laws and manage risks across our organisation.Role PurposeAs the Data Protection Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that LPCH complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You will also identify, assess, and manage risks to protect our assets, reputation, and the well-being of our patients.Key ResponsibilitiesData Protection Framework: Develop and implement a data protection framework that ensures compliance with GDPR and other relevant laws.Information Governance: Create policies and procedures for the secure handling, use, and protection of patient information across all LPCH sites.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks related to data protection and information governance, ensuring that potential issues are mitigated.Training & Education: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities under data protection laws.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness.About YouWhat We are Looking ForExpertise in Data Protection: Deep understanding of GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and related regulations.Professional Certifications: Accredited qualifications in data protection and risk management.Experience: Proven track record in managing data protection and privacy in a professional setting.Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement them effectively.Adaptability & Leadership: Ability to navigate changing regulations and lead initiatives to maintain compliance.Join LPCH as our Data Protection Officer and be at the forefront of protecting patient privacy and managing risks.
