Data Governance Manager - General InsuranceAbout the clientOur client is a leading general Insurance business with a strong history in Australia.About the roleA newly created permanent opportunity exists for an experienced Data Governance Manager to deliver and manage initiatives that will uplift the data governance framework across People & Culture. This person will have the opportunity to build a team around them and work as a 2IC to the Executive Manager for Digital Services.What's RequiredThe ideal candidate will have experience leading Data Governance Management initiatives and people. They must be able to hit the ground running and plan for the future. Ideally, he would also like someone with some experience working with a HR team.In addition, they will have the following:Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, risk or related fieldsFamiliarity with IP, data management, data governance and data privacy regulationsDesirable Skills:Experience with information security controls and solutions with the ability to drive technical data protection conversations and data privacy engineering/best practice.Familiarity with insurance industry concepts and regulations (Ideal)Data Governance or Information Management certifications e.g. DAM (Desirable)Knowledge and experience of risk management frameworks in insurance organisationsKnowledge, or experience of management and regulatory activity on risk management related matters in insurance organisationExperience working with a P&C team in this space (Highly advantageous)Proven stakeholder management skills relating to data safety managementWhat's on OfferFlexible workingGreat opportunities for career progressionPlease apply directly via the Apply for this job button.
