Temporary (31 Oct 2025) full-time opportunity Office Location – Parramatta, NSW, Hybrid working supported Environment Officer 09 Salary relative to experience and ranges from $116,059 to $129,288 Super About You As we embark on our Biodiversity Offsets Scheme Digital Transformation Program, we are seeking a highly talented Data Governance Analyst to play a pivotal role in this transformative journey. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders on data governance initiatives. They should have a sharp analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency with governance tools like Microsoft Purview and Fabric. A collaborative and strategic thinker, the candidate will excel at resolving data quality issues and ensuring compliance with data standards and privacy regulations. About the role In this role, you will develop and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with DAMA best practices and organizational standards. You will be responsible for defining data quality standards and managing data risks, particularly in relation to sharing and compliance. The position requires expertise in using governance tools like Microsoft Purview and Fabric to maintain metadata management, data lineage, and governance workflows. Additionally, you will lead data governance projects, working closely with stakeholders and facilitating Data Working Group meetings to promote best practices across the organization. As a Data Governance Analyst, you will continuously monitor data quality, resolving issues promptly to ensure the integrity of organizational data. You will collaborate with data owners and stewards to implement effective governance policies, ensuring they are well-understood and adopted throughout the business. This role also involves assessing and mitigating risks related to data sharing, developing data sharing agreements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your ability to provide training, support, and communication on data governance processes will be essential in embedding a strong data governance culture within the organization.
