We have an exciting opportunity available for an Ethics and Privacy enthusiast who wants to lead change and build customer trust by ensuring we consistently improve the way we protect customers' privacy and their data.This newly created role is critical to lifting awareness, monitoring, and embedding a privacy by design approach at Medibank, embedding strong data ethics and privacy principles across the lifecycle of ideation to implementation. The work will integrate with Medibank's enterprise-wide governance, culture, and accountability framework to protect our customers and their data.Reporting into the Squad Lead, Data Ethics, this role will play an integral role to implement Medibank's Data Ethics and Privacy Management framework across the enterprise. This includes the design of procedures, standards, artefacts, and tools to embed Privacy by Design in process, as well as the delivery of training and understanding relevant reporting relating to privacy risks and practices.The purpose of this role is to support and maintain a high quality, fit-for-purpose, and effective program for continued uplift of privacy culture and managing privacy operations across the Medibank Group. This role sits within our Customer Trust- and broader Legal & Company Secretariat team.Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Champion and Embed Privacy by Design practices into Medibank's culture.Work closely with Medibank's Privacy Legal Team and other business units across the enterprise.Support the Squad Lead with the development of the Data Ethics Framework.Deliver organisational-wide training and awareness activities, driving cultural change (e.g. annual Privacy Awareness Week activities).Facilitate the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) process.Support business with responding to Privacy complaints or enquiries that are raised through customer interaction channels.Support technology, digital and product teams in their proposition and strategy sessions guiding consideration of privacy technology and implementation of controls that aid data minimisation.Monitor internal privacy controls.Engaging business stakeholders to understand their data objectives and usage, and driving privacy by design ethics strategies and approach that facilitates business success while building in controls to protect Medibank and our customers' data.Promote a culture of empowerment and accountability in stakeholders.Employ a continuous improvement mindset to ensure we continue to make it easier to do the right thing by our customers.About you:To be considered successful for this role, you will come with at least 3 years' experience within risk, compliance, or privacy. This role requires an individual who has excellent stakeholder management skills and can communicate effectively and succinctly. You will be able to build meaningful relationships and have a proactive approach.You will have an eagerness to learn and have an inquisitive mindset.
