A leading business is seeking a Data Engineer to lead data modernization and integration efforts.
With significant investment , the company has transformed its infrastructure, focusing on data centralization to drive better insights.
The role will be pivotal in consolidating data, improving reporting capabilities, and supporting the company's journey toward more informed decision-making, particularly in carbon reporting and supply chain visibility.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain and improve existing data infrastructure, including the data lake and warehouse, ensuring efficient ETL processes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party support to develop data strategies and enhance reporting capabilities.
Work closely with a carbon analyst to support carbon-neutral reporting and data credit purchases.
Drive the transition from fragmented data repositories to a centralized, robust data architecture, ensuring clean and accurate data.
Build and refine dashboards using Power BI, ensuring the right data reaches the right stakeholders.
Lead efforts to secure data and adhere to industry best practices, supporting compliance with any new regulations or audits.
Requirements: Experience in data architecture, especially with modernizing data systems and managing ETL processes.
Strong understanding of Power BI, SQL, and data integration in a Microsoft Azure environment.
Ability to simplify complex data concepts for diverse stakeholders, including those in remote and agricultural settings.
Previous experience in agriculture is not required, but the ability to adapt to its unique challenges is essential.
Familiarity with data security practices and a collaborative approach to managing data reporting processes.
