Our new model is designed to better integrate data delivery, strategic programs, data platform engineering and data governance, ensuring improved accountability across all domains.
The Data Domain Lead is a key senior role in the Data Analytics and AI delivery tribes. This role reports into the IT Area Lead Data Delivery and supports the design and execution of the data strategy for the Operations and Technology domains and is the primary contact for the Operations and Technology Tribes for all things data related. Their people leadership responsibilities encompass directing the Chapter Leads and oversight of both onshore and offshore engineering resources within the domain.
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the delivery function as ING embarks on their Leap strategy and builds the bank of the future. The Domain Lead must be adept at navigating complex delivery environments while collaborating closely with cross functional teams to drive efficiency, quality, and operational excellence. They possess strong financial management and commercial acumen which allows them to effectively allocate resources, manage vendor contracts and ensure minimal budget variance when executing changes.
What you'll do … Execute strategies for the designated data domain in alignment with broader organizational goals and priorities.Collaborate with the IT Area Lead and other stakeholders to define roadmaps, milestones, and success criteria for data products within the domain.Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders within the domain, including business units, internal teams, and external partners.Ensure that business activities within the Domain area comply with relevant external regulatory and/or voluntary codes and with internal policies and procedures.Oversee system maintenance, lifecycle management, as well as incident and problem management.Ensure reliability, security, and performance of critical IT assets within the domain.Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team (both onshore and offshore); set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members.Manage performance of external suppliers / partners and ensure that contractors and offshore team members share in ING's values and way of working.What we're looking for… Proven experience in banking / investment technology strategy development and execution in alignment with architecture and other IT functions.Demonstrated experience in leading a technical delivery team with equivalent scale, scope, and complexity within the specialized area.Proven experience in developing engineering capability and effectiveness in a team.Experience in management & negotiation of large vendor commercial contracts (>$10m).Demonstrated experience working agile and with Devops team tooling, technology risk frameworks, project management and delivery methodologies.Demonstrated experience in Public Cloud technologies and application migration.What's in it for you?
