Cordel, a prominent technology provider to the railway sector, is seeking diligent and detail-oriented individuals to express their interest in joining the Delivery Team at Cordel to ensure data quality across our projects.
Position Overview
In this role, you'll play a part in maintaining the precision and efficiency of our data processing pipeline. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the reviewing of data exports, identifying deviations, and collaborating with our Delivery Team to rectify any defects. You'll learn industry-standard tools like 3DReshaper & QGIS to help ensure that our data meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting in conducting operations within our data processing pipeline under the guidance of experienced team members, to understand and execute tasks effectively. Learning to meticulously review data exports, under supervision, and identifying potential deviations against quality control indicators. Observing and participating in the utilization of tools such as 3DReshaper & QGIS to assist in rectifying any identified defects in the data. Escalating challenges within the data to the Technical Delivery Manager for resolution. Qualifications
We welcome candidates from diverse educational backgrounds and levels of experience. Current studies in areas such as Mechatronics Engineering, Surveying, Environmental Science, Mathematics, and related fields is advantageous. The primary requirement is a demonstration of the necessary skills and attributes to excel in this role, with an eagerness to learn.
Experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and concepts. A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a team to achieve shared objectives. Proficiency in the use of productivity software such as Microsoft Office or Google Suite, and exposure to issue tracking software like Trello, Asana, or Jira. Demonstrated ability to understand and adapt to customer expectations within a quality assurance process, potentially gained through coursework or relevant experiences. Familiarity or proficiency in operating Command Line Interface (CLI) tools, or a willingness to learn and develop these skills under guidance. Exposure to or coursework in one or more of the following technologies: LiDAR Data, GIS Systems, Quality Assurance, Railway Engineering, or related equivalents. While prior experience is not mandatory, a keen interest and foundational knowledge in these areas would be advantageous. While we have outlined preferred qualifications for this role, we also understand that candidates may not perfectly fit every criterion listed.
