Launch are looking for a contractor specialising in data breach detection, data privacy and data architecture.
Launch recruitment are looking for a Data Breach Detection Specialist to join a large retail organisation on a contract basis. This role is responsible for developing and implementing architecture and engineering safeguards around a data project that is currently ongoing within the business.

The data breach detection specialist will have a deep knowledge of a broad range of information and physical security controls as well as previous experience working on data protection and data breach detection. This may include: the data, the database applications or stored functions, the database systems, the database servers, and the associated network links.

Day Rate: $1100 - $1200 a day
Contract duration: 6 - 9 months

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and apply security architecture & privacy best practices across the business, focusing on data protection and breach detection.Implement controls and design best practices around data breach detection.Able to think of data protection scenarios and implement and improve current posture.Closely work along with Architects from our Data Visualization, Data Analytics, Data Storage, and our Global Privacy Teams to integrate security best practices.Architect and Engineer data protection mechanisms for data at rest and data in transit.Able to work with developers & engineering leaders in a productive manner, while communicating security issues effectively and working to ensure they get fixed.Operates effectively in an agile, dynamic, fast-paced environment. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in computing related discipline or relevant security related certifications.Experience working to implement controls across data breach detection.Good data privacy knowledge.Sound understanding of data protection requirements.At least 5 years of cyber security experience working within an architectural role.Have worked on previous data security projects in the past during your time in an architectural role.Experience with container-based architectures and implementations such as Kubernetes, Docker, etc. would be beneficial.
