Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Analyst to support the Connected Information Environment (CIE) Sustainment (DB2) project in Canberra.
As part of the Data Integration & Engineering (DIE) section, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and sustaining core integrated data assets that meet downstream business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Produce analytical work that is customer-focused and actionable.
Discover trends, patterns, and narratives within structured and unstructured data, presenting insights to stakeholders.
Leverage new open data sources and maximize value from existing data.
Create innovative data visualizations and intuitive graphics to convey complex analytics.
Conduct data discovery using primary and secondary sources.
Clean and prune data to remove irrelevant information.
Identify new opportunities for process improvement.
Provide concise data reports for management review.
Troubleshoot code problems and data-related issues.
Apply data quality techniques to cleanse data and offer feedback for ETL/data quality solutions.
You will also be responsible for transferring skills and knowledge to departmental staff while ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained in line with the department's recordkeeping policies.

Additional Deliverables:
Develop system design specifications.
Produce detailed business requirement documents.
Create mapping documents outlining detailed cohort rules and individual field mappings.
