Dairy Technician

Senior Dairy Farm Hand position available on a 500 cow family owned & operated dairy farm located in Byrneside, Victoria (20km's from Shepparton).

The farm is set on 1200 acres of irrigated pastures & crops across 4 properties.

The dairy is a 50 stand modern rotary with automatic cup removers, milk metres, automatic teat spray & automatic draft.

Working closely with the owner & manager, we are seeking an experienced farm hand capable of working in a team and independently.

The successful candidate will be required to have skills in the following areas:
Operation of the mixer wagon and deliver balanced mixes to the herd.
Weed Management.
Machinery Operation (sowing, mowing, spraying, loader wagon, effluent spreading etc.).
Irrigation.
Calving.
Pasture management.
The following attributes are required:
Time Management.
Reliable.
Applicant must have 3-5 years experience, current driver's license & reliable vehicle.

This position has on-farm accommodation available to the right person and casual milkings for a partner if required.
