Details of the offer

The Cyber Security Specialist is a member of the Enterprise Planning and Architecture team who contributes to the implementation and administration of information security policies and procedures and ensures that information systems are maintained in accordance with security policies.
The Cyber Security Specialist (CSA) reports to the Lead Enterprise Security Architect. The CSA contributes to the Bureau's cyber security program by providing expertise across a broad range of cyber security program activities covering – security strategy, architecture, governance risk and assurance, capability uplift and cyber security operations.
The role spans a complex range of technologies (ICT and OT) and with a diverse portfolio of delivery projects. The role will be focused on security services and solutions as procured by the Bureau. Experience in Generative AI, identity and access, security event and incident management, AWS, Azure cloud security solutions will be highly regarded. The role will also drive assurance and risk assessments working closely with delivery stream leads, project managers, security architects, testers, operations and security SME's.
This is a newly created role. The role requires considerable stakeholder collaboration and customer engagement with a strong commitment to achieving business-aligned security outcomes.
Certifications in any of the following are highly regarded: CISSP, Security+, CISA, CISM, SABSA, GIAC, SANs, CFE, Cert III Investigative Services, or other related security control certifications. Candidates who demonstrate a commitment to professional development and learning may be supported to undertake appropriate certifications to meet the requirements of the role.
Experience as a security consultant / security architect (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
The role is expected to provide technical expertise, analytics and document design and patterns on a wide range of systems/solutions and produce reports detailing findings related to identified risk.
