About the Role: Our client, a leading organisation in the critical industry sector, is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Operations Specialist .
Reporting to the Group Cyber Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organisation's information systems, networks, and data.
Your responsibilities will include: Preparation & Training: Develop and deliver staff awareness training, conduct simulation testing, and ensure preparedness against cyber threats.
Monitoring & Safeguards: Oversee protective measures, including vulnerability management, CrowdStrike Sentinel configurations, and cyber-related system configurations.
Cybersecurity Monitoring: Ensure effective monitoring, detection of cyber events, and assessment of their potential impact using tools like Azure Security Center.
Incident Response: Maintain and manage the incident response plan, handle operational incident response, investigation, and recovery.
Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices by integrating the latest in cloud security tools and techniques.
About You: You are a dedicated cybersecurity professional with a keen understanding of a complex business and technology landscape.
Your skills in assessing threats, communicating risks, and mitigating issues are exceptional.
You thrive both autonomously and as part of a team, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and high standards of integrity and professionalism.
Experience with tools such as CrowdStrike, Azure Sentinel, and other modern cybersecurity platforms is highly valued.
Key Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity).
5+ years of experience in a cyber operations role, including investigation, analysis, staff training/testing, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Working knowledge of ICT and cyber technologies, tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Azure Security), and services to perform analytical roles effectively.
