About the Role As the Cyber Security Officer, you will join our Security and IT team to further develop and manage the organisation's Information Security Operations while cultivating a culture of cyber awareness.
This is a full-time salaried role based on a 38 hour working week. The role can be located in our Townsville Head Office, Cairns Office, Brisbane Admin Office and remotely based on the successful candidate.
Minimum Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline Previous experience with Information Technology systems and architecture (e.g. OS, networking) Experience within Cyber Security (e.g. frameworks, processes, systems, tools) (desired) Basic programming skills (e.g. KQL, Python, PowerShell) Strong knowledge of Azure and M365. AWS knowledge would be beneficial Strong knowledge of ICT systems and networking principles Strong knowledge of Information Security principles and practices Sound knowledge of incident response and planning Responsibilities Work with Security Operations Centre (SOC) and IT staff to implement security controls Assist with the investigation of all SOC reported security alerts and initiate appropriate responses Actively assess emerging and existing security technologies to identify opportunities for the improvement and continued development of overall organisational security posture About Us Put simply, we are a bank that has a distinct purpose of helping Queenslanders live better lives through better finances.
