At Bank First, we are empowered to make bold moves to reimagine the way we serve our members.About the roleThe Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for supporting security incident and vulnerability management activities by managing existing and new security tools and software to reduce security risks and identify and mitigate security threats to Bank First.Your ResponsibilitiesManage the current adequacy and effectiveness of the bank's operational security processes, controls and threats to systems, and work with management to implement improvements.Implement methods and controls to provide early warning of impending risk and security issues and timely response mechanisms.Drive the detection, logging, monitoring and management of threats across the organisational landscape.Logging, triage and manage the life cycle of security incidents received from the managed Security Operations Centre (MSP model).Work closely with the Senior Manager Cyber Security and Cyber team to uplift the vulnerability management program which includes vulnerability scanning.Respond to email security, brand abuse and malicious software incidents.Drive the remediation of security vulnerabilities.About YouSplunk experience (essential).Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a similar technical degree (highly desirable).Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.Experience working across all facets of cyber operations.Experience leading security incident investigations.Good understanding of EDR (Defender), Antivirus, SIEM (Splunk or Sentinel), email security, network security and vulnerability scanning (Rapid7) and Azure/0365 cloud environments.Experience with threat intel and vulnerability management.A problem solver, with excellent oral and written communication skills.What we offer our Bank First peopleA for-purpose bank committed to helping its members and their community.Impactful work that will genuinely make an impact in the lives of our members!Work with values-driven leaders, who actively develop talent and support you to grow your career.Work-life balance and flexibility, so you can work in a way that best suits you and your commitments outside of work.Hybrid working from our offices to connect and collaborate, as well as focused time at home.Competitive remuneration with extensive leave options, well-being reimbursement and free on-site parking!To applyIf you are looking for purpose and an organisation that lives their values every day, we encourage you to apply.We encourage applications from people of all ages, cultures, abilities, sexual orientation and gender identities.
