The Role Adbri is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to be based at our Adelaide office, who is committed to protecting our ICT infrastructure, systems, data, and users from unauthorised access and manipulation. We are dedicated to enhancing our cyber resilience and maturity through continuous improvement and robust cyber threat defence and response activities. We are currently offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cyber Security Administrator.
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in implementing and managing software and network solutions, supporting day-to-day security operations, and contributing to the overall cyber security strategy of the organisation.
Responsibilities Actively participate in SH&E initiatives and identify safety improvement opportunities within the IT department.Develop environmentally responsible technical solutions.Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.Develop and manage effective relationships with business partners and suppliers.Implement and manage security technologies, including Firewalls, Web and Email Security Systems, Antivirus, IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM, DLP, Vulnerability Management, Encryption, Security Monitoring, Threat Intelligence, and Security Analytics.Maintain a strong understanding of operating systems and network fundamentals.Respond to security incidents by assessing severity, prioritising, and escalating as per established processes.Conduct hands-on security assessments on systems and network equipment to identify vulnerabilities, evaluate countermeasures, and recommend best security practices.Perform security auditing, incident management, and forensics.Participate in regular meetings with third-party SOC and NOC to discuss overall security posture.Contribute to short-term and long-term planning and drive improvement initiatives within the Group IT team.Review current processes and offer improvement suggestions.Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.What You Will Need to Succeed Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.2+ years of experience in LAN/WAN infrastructure, vulnerability management, and ITIL.3+ years of expertise in VPN, Proxy, and Firewall management.Firewall security certification (e.g., Palo Alto).Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISM).Strong technical skills in Cyber Security and knowledge of IT Security standards & frameworks (e.g., ISM, ISO/IEC 27000 series, Australian Privacy Act).Our business Adbri Limited is a constructions materials and industrial minerals manufacturing company that has been building a better Australia since 1882.
