At Victoria Legal Aid (VLA), we are committed to improving our cyber security and ensuring the safety of our digital workplace. As part of this, we are creating a new Cyber Program to strengthen our information security and compliance processes.
We are looking for a Cyber Compliance Manager to lead and manage cyber audit, risk and assurance processes within the Digital Transformation and Technology (DTT) Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing the performance of processes and controls to identify areas of non-compliance and assess the effectiveness of existing controls (including the development and monitoring of a 3rd party risk management framework). Ensuring controls align to Industry standards such as ISO 27001/2, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and ACSC ISM (Essential 8).
You will work closely with internal teams, external auditors, and other stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities, assess risks, and develop treatment plans.
You'll also help develop and maintain VLA's overall cyber security framework and track compliance through regular reporting to senior management.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country. About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
Experience in cyber security management in a similar role (mandatory).Experience with risk management principles including risk assessment methodologies (mandatory).Strong knowledge of relevant cyber security laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., VPDSF, ISO 27001/2, ISO27032, NIST, ACSC ISM).Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop remediation plans.Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, including writing reports and memos.Experience in managing regulatory audits and assessments, ensuring successful completion.Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.Don't meet every requirement?
