Your new opportunity We're looking for an experienced and motivated Audit Senior to join our Audit team in our Newcastle office.
Our Auditors deliver tailored Audit and Assurance services to our clients working out of the office and also from our clients' sites. We work with a variety of clients and have segment expertise in not for profit organisations, clubs and hospitality, manufacturing and construction, and large private entities and family businesses.
This role can be a full-time or part-time role (24 hours per week minimum) and we are happy to work with you to create an ideal work schedule.
What will you do? Manage and complete audit engagements across a portfolio of clients. Conduct audit planning, identify key audit matters, and implement effective strategies. Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Identify and resolve audit issues, including potential adjustments and out-of-scope work. Supervise, mentor, and provide on-the-job training to team members. Attend client Board or Committee meetings to present audit findings. Support team innovation and improvement projects. What do you bring? Minimum 2 years' experience in a Chartered Accounting practice. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Word and Excel and the ability to easily learn new software. Completed a Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) and CA qualified or willingness to undertake if you have already completed your degree.
