08th November, 2024 Our Sydney Shelter in Yagoona is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Customer Service Officer to join our dedicated Customer Care team on a part-time basis. The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing excellent customer service, advice, and guidance to members of the public. This position will rotate across all functions of the Customer Care team, including adoptions, surrenders, lost and found, stray intake, and reporting. The successful candidate will be required to work on a rotating roster, including weekends.

About the Role
Provide accurate and timely customer service and advice regarding animal care Coordinate the adoption & surrender process, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately Ensure that all animals received are tagged or otherwise appropriately identified Perform administration duties including daily banking and responding to customer inquiries via phone or email Clean animal enclosures and administer medications when required Coordinate and facilitate impounding services and all required documentation Escalate urgent reports to management and inspectorate
About You
Previous experience in a customer service role Prior experience working for a non-profit organisation (desired) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Conflict resolution and mediation skills Strong computer literacy Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments Certificate II in Animal Studies and/or other formal training in animal behaviour (desirable) Previous experience in animal handling
