Energy Queensland's Customer Division has multiple permanent opportunities for a Customer Project Technical Officer to be located at any major Energy Queensland location including Brisbane, Cairns, Mackay, Maryborough, Rockhampton, Toowoomba and Townsville. About the Role: As a Customer Project Technical Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the best advice and support on their energy projects. Based in our state-wide team, you'll be the go-to person for new connection, extensions, and relocations, ensuring everything runs smoothly. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including our internal teams and external partners, to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions. In the role you will identify technical requirements and develop scope documents to meet both the customer and Energy Queensland's requirements throughout the life of a project. This role offers a mix of technical challenges and opportunities to engage with the community, making a real difference in how energy is delivered across QLD.
The remuneration for your new position starts from $141k + 14.75% Super for 9-day fortnight and $159k + 14.75% super for 10-day fortnight if you have met the essential qualification. You thrive in a team environment but are also confident in managing projects independently. Your background in Customer Service, Engineering or Project Management combined with your ability to build strong relationships will help you succeed in this role. Essential: Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. (If currently studying, your application will be considered).Desirable: Queensland Electrical Licence as Electrical Fitter / Mechanic or Electrical Linesperson/ Jointer.Certificate IV in Power Systems Design or equivalent.Technical understanding of activities of an electricity distribution authority including design, construction, maintenance, and operation of underground and overhead mains and associated equipment.Excellent ability in customer negotiations, formal and informal communication skills, and the ability to foster good relationships with our internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficient, cost-effective customer projects.Ability to understand, read and translate maps/drawings and survey plans.Knowledge of relevant sections of the Electricity Act and Regulations, Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts and regulations.Ability to use computer applications and manage competing project milestones to meet business and project targets.You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical or respond to pre-employment medical questions.What matters most to us are our values: We're Safe – We Belong - We Grow - We Deliver.
