About the Role This role sits within the newly formed AEG (Auto Electrical Group), a dedicated group of Bapcor companies comprising JAS Oceania, Baxters, and Federal Batteries. AEG is a key part of Bapcor's Specialist Wholesale Segment, specialising in automotive electrical and has delivered exceptional service and tailored solutions to the automotive industry for 45+ years. As AEG continues to integrate and expand its offerings, this role will play a pivotal part by supporting key customer relationships.
The Onboarding Specialist, AEG will play an essential role in managing and supporting the onboarding and supply contract negotiation processes for key customers, the key accounts team, and broader sales teams.
This role encompasses detailed contract reviews, ensuring compliance with customer onboarding requirements, including ESG criteria, and providing administrative support throughout the tender processes. You will be involved in preparing and submitting tenders, reviewing terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, and contract or trading term agreement documents, as well as completing quality and supplier questionnaires.
The Onboarding Specialist also supports the key accounts and sales teams during project implementation, ensuring a seamless transition and adherence to all contractual obligations.
Key responsibilities include: Perform detailed evaluations of customer contracts to ensure compliance and identify concerns. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to resolve contract-related issues. Assist in completing customer onboarding requirements including Supplier Evaluation forms, ESG criteria, NDA's, Codes of Conduct, purchase order terms, banking details, provision of insurance information and other documentation. Support key accounts and sales teams in preparing and submitting tenders for customer projects. Gather and organise required documentation and information for tender submissions. Engage with internal teams (product, warehouse and logistics, finance, IT, risk, marketing, accounts etc.) to ensure adherence to operational and contract requirements. Identify and discuss key commercial terms such as warranty, rebates of all types, freight charges, fixed pricing and pricing review mechanisms for approval and negotiation before customer submission. About You This is a fast-paced role that would require exceptional stakeholder management and high attention to detail. The role would be a good fit for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for contract management and customer relations.
Tertiary qualified in business, law or equivalent qualification, with strong knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and commercial agreements is preferred. Proven experience in customer onboarding, contract management, or a similar role. Familiarity with tendering processes and requirements. Strong understanding of ESG, risk and compliance requirements and their application in business processes. Proficiency in using onboarding and CRM software. Strong and open communicator. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Skilled in resolving conflicts and negotiating solutions to maintain positive relationships.
