Curriculum and Compliance Manager (Off the floor)The Compliance and Educational Leader Officer is responsible for leading the development and implementation of educational programs and ensuring adherence to the National Quality Framework (NQF) standards. This role combines educational leadership with compliance oversight to promote high-quality outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities: Educational Leadership:Collaborate with educators to provide curriculum direction and guidance.Support educators in effectively implementing the planning cycle to enhance programs and practices.Lead the development and implementation of effective educational programs in line with approved learning frameworks.Ensure children's learning and development are guided by the learning outcomes of the approved frameworks.Guide and develop educators' and families' understanding of play-based learning and its significance in early education.Build the knowledge, skills, and professionalism of educators.Foster a culture of professional inquiry among educators to develop knowledge, reflect on practice, and generate new ideas.Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement:Monitor adherence to the National Law and Regulations through proactive assessment and influence.Conduct regular compliance audits and prepare reports on findings.Implement compliance tools such as infringement notices, compliance directions, and notices as necessary.Collaborate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.Stay updated on changes to regulations and ensure the service's policies and procedures reflect current requirements.Provide training and support to staff on compliance matters.Qualifications and Experience: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood EducationExtensive experience in early childhood education settings.Comprehensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law, and Regulations.Demonstrated leadership experience.Strong understanding of compliance monitoring and enforcement processes.Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Critical thinking and the ability to analyse and challenge conventional practices.Ability to mentor and support educators from diverse backgrounds.Commitment to ongoing professional development.Strong organisational and time management skills.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.While not required, proficiency in Portuguese would be an asset to help us better support our diverse client base.Key Performance Indicators: Successful implementation of educational programs aligned with approved learning frameworks.Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.Positive feedback from educators regarding support and guidance.Timely and accurate completion of compliance audits and reports.Demonstrated improvement in the quality of education and care provided.Working Conditions: Full-time position with standard working hours, minimal floor time required for ratio support, and occasional after-hours work as needed.Based at Brookvale Little Scribblers, some travel may be necessary for meetings, compliance audits, and training sessions.Your application will include the following questions:
