About the Role SeaLink K'gari is currently seeking a Cruise Director / Deck Hand to join our team!
As a Cruise Director, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests have a safe and informative sailing to K'gari, one of Australia's most iconic destinations. You will also ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, including the embarkation and disembarkation of passengers and vehicles.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with a broad range of people with a high standard of customer service to guests in the onboard café and refreshment service.
Other duties include coordinating the loading and unloading of vehicles and cargo, validating and counting boarding passes, and assisting in fuelling and general cleaning of the vessel.
We encourage candidates with previous Cruise Director / Deckhand experience gained on a commercial vehicular and passenger vessel to apply. You must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work unsupervised and make decisions within set guidelines.

Key Role Requirements Manage and maintain the vessel's supplies, equipment, and tools, ensuring timely stocking, rotation, and replacement.
Perform scheduled and general ship maintenance duties, including painting, deck work, and general labor.
Proactively report, manage and complete deck maintenance requirements. 
Assist with safe mooring operations and loading/unloading of passengers and supplies.
Assist other crew members in cleaning and presenting the vessel, including public areas, decks, storage and engine spaces, onshore facilities, and between sailings.
Participate in formal and informal training as needed to improve skills and knowledge.
Ensure the highest levels of customer service standards are maintained at all times.
Foster customer engagement by actively seeking feedback and implementing improvements to enhance the customer experience.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Essential Drivers Licence Experience working in a fast-paced team to reach goals A valid Queensland RSA – or the ability to obtain one  Desirable Previous experience in a similar role Elements of Ship Board Safety Qualification Coxswain Certification (I or II) Senior First Aid Qualification Experience in the Tourism and/or Hospitality Industry Experience in the Marine Transport Industry Vessel or general maintenance experience How to Apply Click APPLY to upload your CV for review and to complete your application.
