About our role   A great opportunity exists for a Credit Analyst to join our Accounts Receivable team, a high performing team of 6, reporting into our Accounts Receivable Team Leader.
This is a full function credit role, managing a mixed ledger of Simplot major accounts and Food Service Customers.
The purpose of this role is:  To ensure accounts are maintained in accordance with the Credit Policy, while identifying any financial risks and minimising the exposure to bad debts.
To ensure claims are resolved and actioned in line with credit terms The Processing of Retail, Food Service and SFT claims and also promotional claims for retail    There will be some interstate travel required in the role, 2 – 3 times per year.
What you will do   Enhance cash flow and minimize bad debts through effective collection strategies and precise payment management, while closely monitoring overdue accounts Develop and maintain strong internal and external partnerships, ensure accounts are clear to facilitate payments, and provide timely communication regarding payment issues Oversee direct deposits, allocate payments daily, reconcile accounts, resolve claims, ensure policy compliance, and contribute to process improvement initiatives Identify opportunities for improving payment recovery and recommend adjustments to credit terms, while supporting organizational values  Foster a positive team environment, work in a high performing team, offering support where required    About you   Experience in a Credit Analyst / Accounts Receivable position  Understanding of basic mathematics, accounting methods, reconciliations, cash management and foreign exchange Experience working with confidential documents and maintaining confidentiality  Ability to work in a team environment  Some experience with PC and Business applications, such as Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP system  Experience with JDE and SAP advantageous, but not required  Experience within FMCG preferred, but not essential  Attention to detail   If this sounds like you, then please apply now!
