An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our national Finance team, based in Western Sydney, reporting to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities: As an experienced Financial Accountant, you will:
Process and review data entries and reconcile monthly accounts. Work on month-end balance sheet reconciliations and respond to queries. Process month-end and year-end journals. Assist in annual audit requests for documents. Process general ledger manual journals and FX conversions monthly. Maintain fixed assets register and depreciation. Load Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) System with Trial Balance including all related monthly stats. Review and action purchase price variances on imported inventory. Prepare monthly local management reports and financial performance analysis. Review monthly bank reconciliations in Excel and in Blackline Global Reconciliation Platform. Prepare and submit monthly BAS returns. Ensure all payroll-related deductions, taxes, and super are processed and paid within their required timeframes. Act as a back-up for processing fortnightly payroll for Australian employees. Act as a back-up for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable during periods of leave. Assist in the annual SOX review. Finalize new inventory items in our financial system QAD. Daily review the Purchase Price Variances and update the inventory standard costs records as required. Manage the Concur expense portal, including assisting employees, reviewing, and posting employee claims, plus preparing accounts payable documentation. Provide general administrative support to the Sales Director and Finance Manager, as required. Qualifications & Experience: The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 5 years' experience working in the same or a similar role. Understanding of Accounting in Corporate and Manufacturing Environment. Experience in using Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) System is an advantage. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel (PIVOT tables, formulas). Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multitask. Sound computing skills – experience working with ERP/Accounting systems is an advantage – e.g., QAD, SAP. Self-motivated & self-directed, with an ability to work autonomously and contribute to the team. Highly desirable working experience in a Manufacturing/Distribution industry associated with inventory transactional records and control. Experience in processing Payroll (using MYOB Advanced Payroll is desirable but not necessary).
