The Sustainability Data Analyst is responsible for coordinating data collection activities across the group relating to environment, human rights and ethical sourcing and community partnerships. This role reduces regulatory and legal risk by maintaining accurate and assurable datasets through controlled collection, collation, storage and management processes, and delivers accurate and insightful sustainability reporting that enables effective decision-making by CRG stakeholders.
The Sustainability Data Analyst will lead data science and reporting activities to create insights and support CRG's regulatory reporting obligations and will proactively work to strengthen CRG's data systems.
Key Accountabilities
Collect, analyse and interpret environmental and social sustainability data across CRG (e.g. energy, packaging, ethical sourcing, community partnership impact and donations) Undertake data cleansing as required and ensure that data sets are accurately maintained Lead data science and reporting activities to create insights and support CRG's regulatory reporting obligations Prepare reports and dashboards on business sustainability performance and product sustainability substantiation, highlighting key insights and trends Support the evolution of our Good Business Journey by providing decision-useful data insights and trends Support the delivery of key internal and external sustainability disclosures, including annual WHL and APCO packaging reporting, modern slavery statement and upcoming climate disclosures (AASB S2), as well as ad hoc external reporting requirements Support the claims substantiation process by maintaining and updating the key data points relating to styles, purchase orders and PLM attributes in the centralised claims validation reconciliation report Key Capabilities
Bachelor degree in Science, Sustainability, Applied Data Science or Information Technology (completed or in the process of completing) Experience in data analysis for sustainability or other business-wide non-financial datasets. Familiarity with sustainability reporting (e.g. Global Reporting Index) and carbon accounting frameworks (e.g. NGERS, GHG Protocol) desired. Experience with Scope 3 GHG emissions data capture and analysis highly favourable. Proficiency in Microsoft reporting software, including Excel and Power BI Familiarity with common analysis software tools, including SQL databases Strong communication skills, with clear understanding of the needs of different stakeholders and report audiences Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a strong eye for detail Excellent organisational and time management skills Has a passion for sustainability and driving positive outcomes Why work for CRG?
