JOB DESCRIPTION:Primary Job FunctionThe Country Manager is responsible for directing the complete operation for Neuromodulation; both commercial as well as support functions such as Quality, IS, HR, and Finance as applicable.
Core Job ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, direct, and control overall activities.Identify, recommend, and implement the company's short and long-term objectives and strategies, adapting them to local market conditions and business opportunities.Manage the company's resources to ensure the achievement of business objectives.Manage P&L and ensure financial and profit objectives are met.Set direction by developing and implementing regional/country mission, strategies, and business objectives.Develop a strategic plan - area sales and marketing plans, key objectives, organizational structure, and talent, etc., and then execute on those plans.Create long-range plans to optimize business development opportunities, organizational capabilities, and the general operation of the business.Develop and implement marketing strategies for the geography to maximize sales potential.Participate in the budgeting and financial planning process by translating strategy into operational goals.Determine the optimal organizational structure to achieve business strategies and allocation of people resources and responsibilities within the division.Utilize technical/professional knowledge and skills to establish, interpret, and execute company policies in a major segment of the company.Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g., compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).Make and execute operational decisions with a strategic perspective.Manage the responsible operational budget effectively.Motivate and develop staff.Promote adherence to EHS policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Ensure employees complete all required EHS training programs.RequirementsBachelor's Degree - 10+ years of relevant experience in a commercial businessMaster's Degree – highly regardedExperience working in a multinational businessExperience in the medical device industry with strong cardiology-based clinical knowledge and experienceDemonstrated commercial experience in marketing and salesProven track record of getting resultsFinancial acumen required to responsibly manage a P&LAbility to work under pressure with a hands-on approachBusiness enterprise knowledge to successfully manage multiple disciplines and interdependenciesOperational decision-making and ability to manage a complex businessStrong leadership capabilitiesExcellent communication skills; both spoken and writtenStrong ethical standardsQuality, Safety & Environmental ResponsibilitiesAttend regular departmental meetings with manager/supervisor to build continuous feedback mechanisms.Meet the requirements of ISO by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met.Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimizing accidental exposures to self, colleagues, and/or the environment.
