This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Country Manager, Payroll Operations, joining our Global Payroll Operations team. As a dynamic and energetic professional, the Country Manager, Payroll Operations will own the planning, and implementation of our Payroll chapter.
You will be reporting to Manager, Payroll Operations.
What you bring

10+ years of work experience in ANZ payroll / Global payroll operations
Understanding of payroll best practices.
Experience in implementing payroll and managing relationships with third party payroll services.
You are passionate about managing people, and you don't micromanage your reports.
Proficient in using software tools like SAP, Excel / Google Sheet.
An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
Is a productivity geek and will constantly think of ways to improve and speed up their work.
You understand the need and ideal to work largely asynchronously .
It's not required to have experience working remotely, but is considered a plus.
You write and speak fluent English.

Key Responsibilities

The ANZ Payroll team will report to you and you will provide them with guidance and mentorship.
The Country Manager, Payroll Operations will own the complete payroll function, ensuring payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with country specific government regulations.
Serve as a point of contact between internal and external stakeholders on all ANZ payroll related matters.
Lead the ANZ Payroll team, unblock and support them.
Be up to date with payroll laws / regulations in ANZ.
Ensure compliance with all corporate and country-specific regulations, policies and procedures.
Manages existing relationships with payroll, accounting and payroll service providers.
Develop and implement best practices, key performance indicators and SLA metrics for the team.
Grow the team and create country specific SOP’s, processes and guidelines which tie in with other departments processes.
Oversee the payroll contributions to building of our internal products

The base salary range for this full-time position is $63,303 USD - $71,383USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
