As the Nurse Practitioner - Palliative Care, you will provide clinical nursing expertise and leadership in Palliative Care across various settings.
With a strong emphasis on autonomy and decision-making, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes and shaping nursing practices within the team.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver expert clinical nursing care to individual patients and groups, ensuring a patient-centred approach. Provide clinical leadership to nursing and midwifery staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Coordinate and lead projects and programs aimed at improving service outcomes. Accept accountability for nursing practices and outcomes, ensuring adherence to policies and best practices. Assist the Regional Manager in service management duties, including performance management, staffing, and financial planning. Engage in ongoing professional development and mentorship to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge. Essential Criteria Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate. Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife. Advanced nursing practice experience in managing specific patient/client groups. Background in developing clinical policies, procedures, and models of care. Experience supervising nursing students and less experienced staff.
