Our Federal Government client is currently seeking to engage a qualified and experience Cost Modeller to provide advice and guidance on financial sustainability by applying cost modelling, cost variations, improving resource allocation and providing service / product costing to support the business.
This is your chance to make a difference for our Federal Government client in this 12 month contract with an additional 12 months of extensions offered.
Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance will be considered for this role.
Duties include and are not limited to: Provide assistance in developing budget cost plans and forecast for the business case to support the program.Develop project cost plans and forecasts.Monitor and manage expenditure and examine areas where budgets and expenditure exceed agreed tolerances.Provide effective financial control for optimal decision making.Analyse expenditure (actual & forecast), examine variances and advises on options in the use of available budgetProvide expenditure reports & briefs for OCIO leadership as required.Advise on financial planning, budgeting & costing for the project.
The experience and skills for this role are: 3-4 years' experience working in a similar role.Demonstrate experience in working in a federal government procurement team.Demonstrate strong budget skills and attention to detail.Demonstrate experience in hands-on procurement activities.Knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR) and PGPA ActDemonstrate competency in Microsoft applications, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
