What we're looking for: F9 Project Services has experienced significant growth, expanding from five employees in 2017 to now 50 employees and ranking as the 25th fastest-growing company in the AFR Fast100 list. Due to our continuous growth, we have some exciting new opportunities for senior Cost Controllers for full-time permanent positions, Perth-based, DIDO, and FIFO (depending on your preferences).
The successful candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in project cost control and be confident and self-motivated individuals who can work with a high degree of autonomy, whilst maintaining a strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity in their work.
What you will do: Monitor and control cost activities through all phases of the project lifecycle.Support the implementation of project cost management programs.Ensure that cost reports are delivered on time and within project controls processes and procedures.Develop project budgets by project estimates and WBS.Forecast cost to complete and highlight areas of risk to mitigate cost.Submit project month-end VOWD and accruals.Allocate expenses to cost centers and WBSs.Progress & performance measurement by applying earned value management (EVM) tools.Assure quality, consistency, and compliance of cost control deliverables.Identify and implement improvement initiatives.Previous experience handling complex projects, preferably within the resources, construction, or engineering sectors.A minimum of 5 years of experience in project cost control.Solid understanding of project control processes and techniques, such as transitioning from study estimates to project budgets, and conducting cost and cash flow forecasting and analysis.Experience across full project life cycles, from concept through execution, and familiarity with associated gate transitions.Expertise in project cost control systems, financial systems, and reporting applications, with strong skills in database management and administration.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with project and corporate stakeholders.High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and the broader MS Office suite.Proven experience in establishing, managing, and reporting on the cost components of large-scale, complex projects, including the development and management of progress reporting systems.Previous experience with PIMS and SAP is highly advantageous.Familiarity with MS Project and Primavera 6 (P6).Qualification: Bachelor's degree in commerce/financeA certification in project management or internationally recognised project controls accreditation is preferredCandidates must have the right to live and work in Australia.
