We ask employees to be present in the office at least three days per week.Are you ready to bring the right energy to Petrofac and help us deliver a better future for everyone?JOB TITLE: COST CONTROLLERKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Operate as a part of a team of Cost Controllers in the preparation of project budget & cost control reports, understand project estimates, and provide necessary cost and budget information to the Project Management and Corporate Management.Budget Management - Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring they are adhered to, and any deviations are promptly addressed.Collaborate with project managers to set budget estimates and cost objectives.Cost Monitoring and Control - Track and report all costs related to projects, including labour, materials, and overheads.Implement cost control processes and ensure compliance with them throughout the project lifecycle.Financial Reporting - Prepare regular financial reports, including cost forecasts, variance analysis, and profitability analysis.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and stakeholders.Cost Estimation - Develop detailed cost estimates for new projects and change orders.Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and ensure alignment with project budgets.Conduct financial analysis to assess project performance and profitability.Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support decision-making.Review and analyse contracts to ensure cost implications are understood and managed.Monitor contract compliance and address any financial issues related to contractual obligations.Communicate financial status and cost-related issues to project stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and clients.Ensure transparency and accuracy in all financial communications.Continuously evaluate and improve cost control processes and systems.Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance cost management efficiency.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.Utilise financial software and tools for effective cost tracking and reporting.Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost management.Able to work both independently and within a team.Lead the activities in ensuring that costs of projects do not exceed the budgeted value by bringing to attention as and when it occurs and take corrective action in conjunction with the project management team.Decisions limited to generating relevant reports for effective cost management of projects.
Consults with supervisor on key issues.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Bachelor of Accounting or Finance.Engineering Degree with Cost Control knowledge preferred.Few years of experience in the cost control function of large projects.Quantity Surveyor background looked upon favourably.Proficient in Microsoft Office package (with excellent Microsoft Excel skills).Self-motivated and enthusiastic when working as part of a team or on own initiative.Ability to investigate and interpret data.Ability to be responsive and open to changing circumstances.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication & interpersonal skills.#LI-SM2
