Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
We are currently looking for a Cost Control Assistant to join our existing dynamic team on the Snowy 2.0 Project.
This position will be site based, on a 14/7 roster.
Fly-in, fly-out option available.
Project work and Fly-in, fly-out experience would be advantageous.
Purpose of the Role:
Participate in cost controlling activities to ensure the best utilisation of the Project's resources, both capital and labour.
These activities will include data and resource analysis, gap analysis and diagnosis, the establishment of cost controller activities and the revision of the Project's Budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Commerce (Major in Economics or Finance) or working towards White Card Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role - preferred Basic understanding of Economic principals with regards to production quantity Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated ability to develop sound working relationships with operations management in the delivery of value added management information Excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills A pro-active approach with the capability to adapt to changing priorities Ability to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.
Possess strong mathematical and computer skills.
Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Effective oral and written communication skills Strong organizational, interpersonal skills.
