The Opportunity The role of cost accountant within the Friendly Society Private Hospital is an exciting new role in implementing and growing the organisation's clinical cost modelling, which will empower decision making across the hospital for the delivery of high standard, sustainable healthcare to the community.
The role will deliver robust operational insights, performance tracking and recommendations to the executive, management and the clinical care team, while also providing financial reporting, commercial and analytical support.
Key responsibilities include: Implementation of clinical cost modelling across the organisation Establish and maintain reporting platforms and tools such as Power BI Analyse and support cost-effectiveness in clinical practices across the hospital Deliver outcomes to key stakeholders Build relationships with management and clinical care teams About you To succeed in this role, you'll need expertise in implementation of clinical cost modeling processes and software, creating and evolving reporting tools to compliment clinical cost modeling, along with strong leadership and motivation to drive outcomes.
Business partnering, working closely with executive, financial and clinical care teams are essential.
To be considered for the role The successful cost accountant will hold a degree in finance, business or commerce, and ideally have experience within the health industry and clinical cost modelling experience in either PowerHealth PPM or Cost Pro.
Power BI, or other reporting tool experience would also be a strong advantage.
The position is located in Bundaberg Qld and we would be looking for someone wanting to relocate to the region.
You will be a highly motivated individual who takes a proactive and disciplined approach to getting the work done.
Skills and Experience Ideally suited to an applicant with a Degree in finance, business or commerce; Experience within the finance sector of the healthcare industry advantageous; Preferred experience in implementation of PowerHealth PPM or Cost Pro; Preferred experience in the implementation and use of Power BI or similar reporting tools; Preferred experience in Epicor, or experience in a large EPR is advantageous; Proven operational finance analytical skills, including in-depth experience in activity-based funding and diagnosis related grouping (DRGs); High level ability within Microsoft Office, strong excel skills essential; Strong communication and relationship management skills.
