We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Cosmetic Chemist to join our team and contribute to the development of our high-performance skincare products.
About The Role: Based in Melbourne (Springvale), the Cosmetic Chemist will help develop and formulate innovative skincare and cosmetic products, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities Include: Develop laboratory-scale prototypes based on product briefs. Collaborate with suppliers to analyse technical data and create reports. Conduct stability tests to ensure product quality. Maintain documentation and provide recommendations for improvements. Evaluate packaging for quality and compatibility. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality. Report project updates to the Laboratory Manager. Apply Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to ensure accuracy and consistency. Support daily lab tasks, ensuring smooth operations and quality standards. About You: At Synergie Skin, a positive attitude is key. In addition, you will need:

Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills for product development challenges. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related disciplines. A minimum of 2 years of experience in product development within the cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceutical industries. Familiarity with GMP (e.g., ISO 22716) and relevant industry standards is preferred but not essential. Demonstrated expertise in systematically recording and accurately reporting experimental data, ensuring thorough and reliable documentation.
