102927 Mount Isa Mines is seeking suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the role of Supervisor – Air Quality Control.
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Advisor - Operations within the HSEC Department, you will supervise and lead a team of air quality controllers to ensure the efficient and effective operation of Mount Isa Mines Air Quality Control (AQC) Centre.
The role will also be accountable for developing technical reports, data management, management of air quality projects and reporting on air quality metrics.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys aligning technical knowledge and experience in the resource industry with strategy development and operational control.
The role is residential to Mount Isa on a 5, 2, 4, 3 rotating roster.
The Role Mount Isa Mines operates the most intensive air quality monitoring program of any city in Australia as well as an industry leading AQC centre to manage emissions from operations to ensure compliance with the Environmental Authority.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop their career through exposure to a dynamic and challenging environment.
Working as part of a large air quality management team you will be supervising the team of Air Quality Controllers to manage air quality systems and providing instruction to operational areas to drive positive environmental outcomes.
You will be trained to become the subject matter expert for air quality management onsite and be deeply involved with our site operations and processing teams.
As the supervisor, you will also provide direct support to the Senior – Environmental Advisor for Operations relating to all air quality and noise matters concerned with the Environmental Authority including project management, technical document deliveries, compliance management and reporting.
