Ambrose® is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing Early Years Learning and School Age Care services.
With a team of 550 employees and growing, we currently operate over 50 school age care and early years education services across Catholic schools in the Greater Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains region.
An Area Coordinator has overarching responsibility of the service delivery operations within their allocated cluster of COSHC services and is responsible for managing and developing the COSHC Service Coordinators and handling any escalated matters.
The Area Coordinator is responsible for leading and building an effective and engaged team in the delivery of quality early childhood education and care for children.
This includes but is not limited to:
Responsibilities: Coaching and Development and Training to build capacity Developing and maintaining strong relationships that support and partner with families, school principals and the community Leading and overseeing the implementation of policies and associated procedures of the organisation Educational leadership, including reviewing vacation care programs.
Ensuring that a programming delivered is based on, and in a manner aligned with the My Time Our Place framework Ensuring that the programs developed is based on the developmental needs, interests, and experiences of each child Oversee and support Assessment and Ratings activities Liaise with the regulatory authority on relevant Service matters as required Budgets Lead effective and regular Coordinator meetings Oversee the QIP and SIP and self-assessments ensuring they are actioned effectively within each service Build and advise on inclusion strategies consulting with professionals as required Coach and mentor behaviour management strategy skills and seek further support where needed Qualifications Bachelor of Early Childhood or Diploma-level early childhood qualification (as approved by ACECQA) is preferred however extensive experience and working towards a recognised relevant qualification may be considered.
Valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC) First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis Certification Experience Substantial experience working with children and families in the early years Strong knowledge of pedagogical leadership Experience in leading effective teams and achieving service targets such as quality and attendance First Aid, WWCC, Anaphylaxis training Experience and demonstrated capability in successful implementation of Child Protection Policy Experience and demonstrated capability in coordinating/delivering Child Protection Experience and demonstrated capability in WH&S specifically in conducting risk assessments; daily, monthly term inspections and evacuation drills.
