The Role As a Director within the Corporate Tax team, you will be a key leader responsible for providing strategic tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients, with a strong focus on the financial services sector. Reporting directly to an experienced Partner, you will oversee and manage complex assignments, mentor junior team members, and drive the development of long-term client relationships. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, eager to take on leadership responsibilities while advancing their career in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and review of technical advice, reports, and client-facing documents. Oversee the implementation of tax strategies and structuring solutions. Advise on M&A transactions, including tax due diligence, structuring, and reviewing sale & purchase agreements. Manage corporate tax compliance, including the review and oversight of income tax returns. Identify potential risks and ensure adherence to global and local quality control and risk management processes. Ensure client engagements are executed to a high standard, within agreed timelines. Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and professional development. Actively engage in business development activities to promote the firm's services and build your personal brand. Contribute to the development and execution of service line strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 7 years' experience in a leadership role, ideally within Corporate Tax in a Big 4 or a law firm. Relevant professional qualification, such as CA, or law degree with a tertiary qualification in Tax. Strong technical expertise in tax compliance, advisory, and structuring, with a particular focus on financial services. Proven ability to manage complex tax matters and provide innovative solutions. Excellent writing skills with a track record of drafting technical documents, including advice and reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Outstanding research and business analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-performing, collaborative team. Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with both internal teams and external clients.
