This temporary role is required due to the secondment of the permanent incumbent to another unit within the business.
Position Overview
As a Corporate Risk Officer, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of the insurance process.
This includes navigating claims from both internal and external stakeholders, investigating each claim, and determining outcomes that align with our client's obligations under the Civil Liabilities Act.Your role will involve significant interaction with external and internal stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
You will be responsible for communicating our client's processes, delivering determination outcomes, explaining reasoning, and assessing underlying risk exposures.
Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate insurance claims processes (excluding workers' compensation).Investigate and determine outcomes for claims in line with our client's obligations under relevant legislation.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding claims, including providing clear explanations and risk management advice.Assist with risk management activities to support the team's goals and operations.Provide detailed analysis and reports of claims and risk exposures.Role Details Employment Type - Full-time (35 hours per week)Term - Six-month temporary position (up to May 2025)Hours - Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times.
Core business hours generally commence between 8:00am and 9:00am, and finish between 4:00pm and 5:00pm.Skillset Sought Qualifications - A Diploma qualification in risk management, insurance, business continuity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in these areas.Experience - Proven knowledge of risk management standards, corporate insurance, and the claims process.Technical Knowledge - Familiarity with liability, property, and general insurances, including associated legislation.Analytical Skills - A strong ability to conduct investigations and deliver outcomes in a timely and efficient manner.Professionalism - Excellent organisation, time management, and communication skills.Key Systems/Software Microsoft Office SuiteProtecht (Risk Management Software)Authority (internal system)Why Join Us?
