Your new role
As a Corporate Lawyer specialising in Procurement, you will work closely with the Head of Legal and Procurement to deliver strategic, insightful, and practical legal counsel on procurement matters across various business areas. Your primary responsibilities will involve partnering with cross-functional teams-including Risk, Compliance, Finance, Information Security, and Technology-to negotiate and structure compliant procurement contracts. In addition, you will:
Provide high-quality, commercially astute legal advice on procurement projects across various sectors.
Collaborate with internal teams to support significant procurement contracts and compliance initiatives.
Manage and instruct external legal counsel on complex procurement projects as needed.
Monitor and advise on regulatory and legislative changes affecting procurement activities.
Support ANZ's global procurement operations, with a focus on Australia and suppliers worldwide.
What you'll need to succeed
3-4 years of post-qualification experience in procurement law across multiple business areas.
Proven ability to deliver timely, commercial legal advice on procurement matters.
Strong time management skills, with experience handling demanding workloads.
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with a practical, solution-focused approach.
Ability to navigate and advise on cross-jurisdictional issues within a complex regulatory landscape.
