The role
Our Corporate team in Sydney is seeking an experienced and motivated Securities Lawyer with at least 4 years post admission experience to join this high-performing group. Working across three Partners, you will advise both domestic and international public and private companies, as well as fund managers, on the following matters:
Mergers & Acquisitions (private and public) Fundraising (equity financing) Private Equity transactions Equity Capital Markets (primary and secondary raisings) Commercial law work, including drafting shareholders agreements and supply agreements While we are industry agnostic, experience in resources and life sciences will be particularly beneficial. This role will provide you with exposure to a variety of sectors, helping you develop a diverse skill set.
About you
At least 4 years post-admission experience as a securities lawyer Experience with joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, asset acquisition and disposal and capital raisings An in-depth understanding of the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, and general corporate compliance Commercial law experience (helpful but not essential) Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and time management Developing leadership capability with the ability and openness to mentor and develop juniors The ability to work collaboratively and take initiative, managing matters with strategic oversight for Partners Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Confidence in building strong client relationships A keen interest in the work we do and a desire to build your career at Piper Alderman long term About Us
