The Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join our Energy & Infrastructure division, where you'll support the Corporate Finance & Advisory team in the delivery of high-quality advice and transaction outcomes for our clients.
You will report to the Managing Director, Head of Energy & Infrastructure and collaborate with other members of the Corporate Finance & Advisory team, as well as clients and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models tailored to infrastructure and energy assets, to inform valuation, strategic decision-making, and transaction-related advice. Assist on a range of M&A and capital markets transactions, as well as strategic and valuation advisory assignments. Perform various valuation methods, including comparable companies analysis, precedent transactions, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), and Leveraged Buyout (LBO) analysis. Prepare and review materials relevant to advisory and transaction assignments, including Information Memoranda, Investor Presentations, and Board Reports. Conduct thorough independent research on industries and companies to inform strategic recommendations. Develop relationships with clients through active involvement in transactions and advisory assignments. Collaborate with senior team members to conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including market analysis and risk assessment. Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes in the energy and infrastructure sectors. About You You will be a competent, confident individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You will be interacting extensively with colleagues and clients, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will have strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and manage multiple work assignments, with frequent priority changes.
In addition, you have:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience in investment banking, Big 4 valuations, or from a developer/financier of energy and/or infrastructure projects. Strong proficiency in financial modelling and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of valuation techniques. A strong interest in the Energy and Infrastructure space, including knowledge of energy transition initiatives and infrastructure projects. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
