Why join us?

We're a #hybrid-work organisation – we believe work is best done with a blend of in-person (at our purposefully designed HUBs) and remote (from your home). When you are in one of our brand-new HUBs, you can take full advantage of end of trip facilities, yoga and multi faith room, parent and carer rooms, quiet rooms, BrewHub coffee facilities, and a multitude of team spaces that reflect our collaborative culture. We provide excellent training and development opportunities to support your career progression and actively encourage internal mobility.

About The Role

Reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager, you'll deliver a range of external communications that reflect the Fund's narrative and brand voice. You'll also provide specialist communication advice and editorial guidance to ensure consistency across the business.

Day To Day, You'll

Deliver persuasive and strategic communication for board and executive speeches at the Annual Member Meeting and other events. This includes reports, presentations, speaking points, key messages, opinion pieces, feature articles, news stories, web content, and high-level correspondence. Shape the Fund's key messages and voice, focusing on investment-related messages and scripts for changing market conditions. Work closely with the Strategic Communications team to create a unified story and strategy for the Fund, our members, and our people. Create impactful presentations for the Board Directors, CEO, and executive team for conferences, seminars, and panels. Plus, we develop engaging content for LinkedIn profiles. Assist in developing and reviewing corporate reports and other strategic publications. Partner with stakeholders to keep the Fund's voice and key messages consistent across all communications. This includes advertising, corporate events, sponsorships, educational material, internal communication, and social media.

This is a permanent role with flexibility to be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

About You

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills we'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

You've worked in a similar role and have a degree in Communications, Public Relations, or something equivalent. Your journalistic, storytelling, copywriting, and editing skills are strong. You can make complex topics simple for any audience. Long-form writing, like feature articles, speeches, and reports, is right up your alley. You work independently, flexibly, and with initiative to meet tight deadlines. Occasionally, you don't mind putting in some out-of-hours work.
